The Story of Jupiter
Jupiter grew out of Moscow’s Experimental Musical Instrument Factory, started by a circle of celebrated master builders with the backing of the Russian Association of Musical Instrument Makers. From the very first day it has built bayans of the Jupiter system, honouring the craft’s finest traditions.
Three decades, one craft
Jupiter was founded on the foundation of Moscow’s Experimental Musical Instrument Factory by renowned builders — M. V. Platonov, E. I. Gusarov, V. A. Chekanov and M. N. Rybin — with the support of the Russian Association of Musical Instrument Makers, represented by A. K. Ginzburg.
The workshop builds bayans of the Jupiter system, holding on to the traditions and hand techniques of instrument making that no production line can replicate.
In their many configurations, Jupiter bayans and accordions stand apart — in Russia, the CIS and worldwide — and answer the high demands set for instruments of this class.
The Jupiter lineup now spans 20 models, and the workshop’s instruments are heard on major stages worldwide, in the hands of professionals and newcomers alike.

A founding master of Jupiter, he leads the workshop today — safeguarding the lineage of the school and the quality with which Jupiter first stepped onto the stage in 1994.
